Agility
Beginner Agility Foundations
Mondays 9:45 – 10:45 am
This class will introduce individual agility obstacles, using food, toys & games to keep your dog motivated. A strong emphasis is placed on having FUN to build your dog’s confidence while learning agility skills. You will learn to guide and direct your dog using both verbal and non-verbal cues.

Agility Contacts
Mondays 11:00 – 12:00 pm
This class will reinforce the end behavior on all three contacts so you can develop or work on handling your dog at a distance. This class only requires that your dog understand a target and will adjust the exercises to the needs and experience level of each dog and handler.

Advanced Agility Foundations
Mondays 12:15 – 1:15 pm

International Agility
Mondays 2:15 – 3:15 pm
This class will focus on handling skills and techniques used at the International level. Your dog should be comfortable on all agility equipment and running small sequences to enter this class.

Novice Agility
Mondays 3:30 – 4:30 pm
This class will work on the agility skills needed for both dog and handler to compete at the Novice agility level in all venues. You and your dog will start to sequence and learn different handling options and how to make the most efficient handling choice. Dogs should be comfortable on most obstacles for this class.

Master’s Agility
Mondays 6:00 – 7:00 pm
This class will work on the agility and handling skills needed at the Master level of agility. Agility sequences will be run to improve commitment, handling skills, distance work, and keeping connection with your dog, as well as any other specific skills needed by a dog and handler team.

Agility Skills and Drills
Wednesdays 1:00 – 2:00 pm
This class will work on mostly jump and tunnel skills with the occasional use of contacts. We will use short sequences to focus on handling skills and problem areas for you and your dog. This class will have a maximum of 4 dogs

Puppy Agility Skills & Drills
Thursdays 9:15 – 10:15 am
Give your puppy a head start with the foundational skills needed for success in agility. Shaping and luring exercises are used to help your puppy learn to focus on you as we gently introduce the various obstacles typically found in an agility ring in a fun and safe initial experience to build confidence.

Open Agility
Thursdays 10:30 – 11:30 am
This class will work on the agility skills needed for both dog and handler to compete at the Open agility level in all venues. You and your dog will continue to work on sequences while adding complexity and advanced handling techniques. Dogs should already have Novice level skills for this class.

Thursdays 6:00 – 7:00 pm
This class will continue to build on the foundation skills your dog learned at the beginner agility foundations level. You will be introduced to agility sequences and the dogs will learn to continue to work between rewards and that the reward will come.

4 weeks, $135, Prerequisite: 14 months or older with beginner agility foundation skills.

Agility Competition Prep
Thursdays 8:30 – 9:30 pm
Preparing to compete involves developing the handling skills necessary to run the agility course in the most efficient manner. This class will teach handlers how to formulate their own strategy to run each course. Specific skills such as learning to establish pre-competition rituals, memorizing the course sequence, and identifying the most appropriate handling maneuver for you and your dog in a given situation is taught in this class.

Prerequisite: 14 months or older and be able to run a full agility course.

Beginner Agility Foundations
Fridays 3:30 – 4:30 pm
Students and their dogs will learn skills that will serve them in agility competitions. We will work on end of contact behavior, rear end awareness, walking a ramp, and other skills.

Prerequisite: Dogs should have the basic ability to sit, stay, and work around other dogs with focus on the owner.
