Growing up working in a boarding/ training kennel I learned to respect dogs and behavior at a young age. Once old enough I joined a 4H dog club, competing in Rally, Obedience, Conformation and Agility with my rescue. This is where the journey started!
I spend my down time as a volunteer puppy raiser for Guiding Eyes for the Blind raising my 9th puppy, a German Shepherd. I am a licensed Veterinary Technician specialized in Physical Rehabilitation for Dogs and Cats. I currently own 3 dogs, all different breeds: a Gordon Setter, Whippet and a Papillon.
We compete in Flyball and Conformation and have titles in obedience, rally, scent work, barn hunt and dock diving. We have been ranked #6 Owner Handled Gordon Setter for 3 years in a row. Along with achieving a Championship on all of my dogs, owner handled. Learning as we go, mentored by many and excited to share what I have learned!
I have been playing Flyball for 6 years, training my dogs in the sport along with instructing for Syracuse Obedience Training Club for 2 years. Teaching dogs of all ages the game of Flyball! I am an active member of Lake Effect Flyball, racing in tournaments from NY to Indiana!
